Setting

Set in unspoilt countryside on the south banks of Loch Tay and enjoying stunning views overlooking Ben Lawers, Bracken Lodges offers you an excellent location to relax and unwind or to enjoy an activity based holiday in this beautiful part of Highland Perthshire.

The lodges are situated in an elevated position within 40 acres of wooded parkland, providing wonderful walks and trout fishing when in season (15th March - 6th October) from the seclusion of our private beach.  A beautiful spot for a picnic or a barbeque.

Wildlife is in abundance around the lodges with red squirrels, roe deer, red deer and pine martins all being seen.  Cuckoos, woodpeckers and owls can all be heard and the osprey can be seen in the early summer months diving for his prey on the loch.

The lodges are situated between the picturesque villages of Kenmore (5 miles) and Killin (10 miles).  The small town of Aberfeldy is 11 miles away.

Loch Tay is the largest loch in Perthshire and the start of the River Tay, Scotland's longest river.  Just 5 miles away is the historical village of Kenmore which offers stunning views down the full length of the loch and the unique Scottish Crannog Centre.  You will also find Scotland's oldest inn at the Kenmore Hotel and the estates of Taymouth Castle.  Situated at the west end of Loch Tay is the pretty village of Killin, famous for the 'Falls of Dochart'.

Golf, fishing, pony trekking, mountain-bike hire and a Boating Centre are all available in Kenmore.  In addition, and within easy reach are three more golf courses, a riding centre, white-water rafting, highland safaris, wilderness walks and a variety of restaurants.
